A student at Penncrest High School, Michael Pesce won first prize won first prize in the coveted Delaware County Young Authors Contest in both 2003 and 2004, as well as second prize for excellence in poetry for Delaware County in 2003. In addition to his distinctions as a writer, Michael has found success in politics – he was the vice president of his eighth-grade class at Springton Lake Middle School – and in the Boy Scouts of America, where he’s only one rank away from Eagle Scout. Additional hobbies include playing basketball, reading, photography, and eating chicken cheese steaks. “I take my chicken cheese steak eating very seriously,” Michael explains. He denies all accusations of stealing pencils and other small items.

A skilled and tireless nitpicker, Elaine Prizzi is a graphic artist, professional theme reader, mother of two, and wife of one. She’s also an enormous help here at The Squid , a trustworthy assistant editor who’s always there when we need her. Elaine’s interests include reading, graphic design, spending time with her family, and watching Jeopardy.

Erik Pupo is a student at Penncrest High School in Media, Pennsylvania.  He drew "Mr. Bloodyknife" on the back of a quiz in Language Arts class.  Erik's interests include weaving pendants out of dried grass and collecting AOL disks.
